Nano Brows

Nano Brows involve the use of a fine, single-needle tool to create hair-like strokes in the skin, mimicking the natural growth pattern of eyebrow hairs. The needle used is extremely thin, allowing for precise and detailed work. The technique is called “nano” because it refers to the ultra-fine size of the needle used.

Powder brows

Powder Brows are created with a micropigmentation machine and it is recommended for customers that want a soft or darker ombre makeup look. This procedure is also recommended for customers that are not good candidates for microblading due to either previous permanent makeup, large pores or oily skin.

Manual Brow Shading

Manual brow shading technique is performed manually with a microblading pen. It is a perfect way to give your microbladed eyebrows a thicker, bolder makeup look. It is normally done on top of your microbladed eyebrows. When done in combination with microblading, the treatment is often referred to as combo-brows. Manual shading is a semi-permanent technique like microblading.

Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions are very popular today because bold lashes dramatically enhance a woman’s appearance! However not all eyelash extensions are the same, and neither are all lash extension artists. When performed correctly by a qualified lash artist, it should be hard to notice the difference between natural lashes and lash extensions.

Brow Henna

Henna brows are a form of eyebrow tinting that is used to stain the skin beneath the brow hairs. The purpose of this is to cast a shadow or create an illusion of depth and fullness in the area, visually filling in any sparseness. Henna is natural dye made from a plant known as hina or the henna tree.

At, Lucious Beauty Bar, we provide brow tinting classes near Southington connecticut
Brow Tinting

Eyebrow tinting is the process of applying semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape, and define your brows.
Brow tinting gives the appearance of thicker, more accentuated brows with the goal being to match your natural brow color whenever possible.

Brow Lamination

Brow lamination is a keratin based treatment that tames unruly hairs and sets them in place for a fluffy just-combed look for up to 6 weeks. This keratin treatment not only stimulates growth while strengthening the brow hairs, but creates thick, fluffy, and full brows. The service includes brow waxing and tinting to define and shape the brows.

Your brow shaping service will be unlike any other you’ve experienced you’ll even receive a Brow mini massage.

Your appointment will begin with a customized consultation. No face shape is the same. Each shaping consists of measuring facial features and determining hair growth patterns. Brows are then trimmed, waxed by a special type of wax and twee-zed, followed by a natural brow fill-in to enhance the brow. You may also have the option for a brow tint.

PMU Removal

The tattoo and PMU removal technique is a method of tattoo and PMU ink extraction which is designed to remove tattoo and permanent makeup (PMU) ink pigments from the body. This method works much like having the original tattoo and PMU, but instead of ink it uses a specially formulated chemical that bonds with the original tattoo and PMU ink to draw it to the skin surface. The removal formula is delivered to the ink using a high specification digital permanent make-up machine.

Frequent Asked Questions

Nano Brows is a term used to describe a specific technique used in semi-permanent eyebrow makeup or cosmetic tattooing. It is a type of microblading, which is a popular procedure for enhancing the appearance of eyebrows.

During the procedure, a trained technician or artist deposits pigment into the superficial layers of the skin, creating small, individual strokes that resemble natural eyebrow hairs. This technique aims to achieve a more realistic and natural-looking result compared to traditional eyebrow tattoos, which often create a blocky or solid appearance.

Nano Brows are typically performed by a skilled and experienced professional in a sterile environment. The process involves numbing the area with a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. The technician carefully designs and shapes the eyebrows according to the client’s preferences and facial features before proceeding with the nano-needling technique.

The results of Nano Brows can last for a couple of years, but they may fade over time due to factors such as sun exposure and natural skin cell turnover. Touch-up sessions are often recommended to maintain the desired appearance.

It’s important to note that the field of cosmetic tattooing, including techniques like Nano Brows, may have evolved since my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to consult with a qualified professional or research the latest information to get the most up-to-date details on the topic.

Powder brows, also known as ombre brows or shading brows, is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique used to enhance and shape the eyebrows. It is a popular alternative to traditional microblading, which uses individual hair-like strokes to mimic natural eyebrow hairs.

With powder brows, a handheld tattooing device or machine is used to create a soft, powdered effect on the eyebrows. The technique involves depositing small dots or pixels of pigment into the skin, gradually building up color and density to achieve the desired look.

The result of powder brows is a more defined and filled-in appearance, resembling the look of softly applied eyebrow powder or pencil. The tails of the eyebrows tend to be darker and gradually fade towards the front, creating a gradient effect. The overall goal is to achieve well-defined, symmetrical eyebrows that complement the individual’s facial features.

Powder brows are typically suitable for individuals with sparse, thin, or uneven eyebrows, as well as those who want to enhance their natural brows without the need for daily makeup application. The procedure can also help cover up scars or gaps in the eyebrows.

The longevity of powder brows varies depending on several factors, such as the individual’s skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. On average, the results can last from one to three years, with periodic touch-ups recommended to maintain the desired shape and color.

It’s important to note that powder brows, like any cosmetic tattooing procedure, should be performed by a trained and experienced professional in a clean and sterile environment to ensure safety and optimal results.

Powder brows and Nano brows are two different techniques used in semi-permanent eyebrow makeup, also known as microblading or cosmetic tattooing.

Powder brows, also called ombre brows, are a shading technique where a soft, misty gradient of color is created, resulting in a powdery, makeup-like finish. This technique is achieved by using a machine or tool to deposit pigment into the skin in a series of tiny dots, creating a soft, blended effect. Powder brows are suitable for all skin types and are a good option for those who want a fuller, more defined brow shape.

Nano brows, on the other hand, are a more recent technique that uses a very fine needle to create hair-like strokes that mimic the look of real brow hairs. This technique is also sometimes called microblading, although the tools used are slightly different. Nano brows are designed to create a very natural-looking brow that blends seamlessly with the existing brow hairs. This technique is best suited for those with normal to dry skin and who have a good amount of existing brow hair.

In summary, powder brows are a shading technique that gives a soft, powdery finish, while Nano brows are a hair-stroke technique that creates a natural-looking brow. The choice between the two techniques will depend on the client’s skin type, existing brow hair, and desired look.

It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in.

If it is performed properly, permanent makeup should last anywhere between 18 and 24 months. Once pigment from the procedure begins to noticeably fade, you’ll need to come back for a “touch-up” application. Touch-ups can be necessary every six months or every year, depending on your skin type and preferred look.

We use a topical anesthetic so there is very little discomfort. In fact, many clients fall asleep during the treatment!

The cost of a touch up depends on the length of time since your previous treatment. The longer the time, the more pigment has likely faded, the more work needs to be done to touch up your brows. We will review all pricing with you in your consultation!

You will have very clear instructions for aftercare, which is essential in the healing process in order to achieve the best results. There are certain limitations regarding sun exposure, sweating, going in a pool, etc. for a brief time after the treatment.
